A warm welcome awaits individuals and groups at county Longford Golf Club each day of the week(including Saturday and Sunday), 52 weeks a year. The course enjoys panoramic views of the surrounding countryside. Longford has become a favoured spot for visiting societies, due mainly to the welcome offered, the good golf and the guarantee of good time for all. It is centrally located, just over an hour from Dublin. So good is the drainage and irrigation, the course is playable all year round - almost unique for an inland course. It is in a heavily wooded area with the mature trees providing a beautiful backdrop to all the holes.
County Longford Golf Club is located just outside Longford on the N4 from Dublin. It was founded in 1894 and is a tree-lined parkland course. A stream comes into play at a number of holes, including the last, so you won`t be able to let your guard down until you are safely back in the clubhouse.
It`s a scenic place to play golf with views of Longford town and the surrounding countryside to be savoured on almost every hole of a course which measures slightly over 6000 yards and has a par of 69. Trolley and buggy hire is available while the clubhouse has a bar and restaurant. |
